Columbus Building & Renovation Expo
The Columbus Building & Renovation Expo will take place at the Ohio Expo Center’s Kasich Hall. The expo runs from noon to 6 p.m. on Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Attendees can explore exhibits featuring the latest in home improvement, including kitchens, baths, custom remodeling, and more. Admission is $5 for adults, while children under 18 can attend for free.
Sports Events
Sports enthusiasts have several options this weekend:
- Columbus Blue Jackets: The NHL team will host two home games at Nationwide Arena. On Thursday, January 2, they face the Detroit Red Wings at 7 p.m., followed by a game against the St. Louis Blues on Saturday, January 4, also at 7 p.m.
- Ohio State Buckeyes Men’s Basketball: The Buckeyes will play against the Michigan State Spartans on Friday, January 3, at 8 p.m. at the Schottenstein Center.
- Ohio State Buckeyes Women’s Basketball: The women’s team will compete against the Northwestern Wildcats on Sunday, January 5, at 1 p.m. at the Schottenstein Center.
Comedy Shows
Comedian Guy Torry is scheduled to perform multiple shows at the Funny Bone Comedy Club in Columbus. Showtimes are at 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. on Friday, January 3, and at 6:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Saturday, January 4.
Wildlights at Columbus Zoo and Aquarium
The annual Wildlights display at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium continues through Sunday, January 5. Visitors can enjoy millions of LED lights, animated musical light shows, and other holiday festivities.
2025 New Year Festival
On Sunday, January 5, the 2025 New Year Festival will be held at Gahanna Lincoln High School Theatre. The event features live music, food, and performances, celebrating the new year with cultural festivities.
