On Friday, January 10, she posted several photos of a sunset with a caption expressing gratitude for the support they received, stating, “We lost our house. Thank-you for all your kinds words of support. Last sunset.” In her message, she reassured followers that they were safe, had each other, and intended to rebuild, using the hashtag #malibustrong.

Earlier, on January 7, Nathalie shared two brief videos on Instagram about the situation in their Malibu neighborhood. In one video, she mentioned that they were safe and that their neighbor had finally evacuated. She commented on the smoke moving towards them and noted the urgency to leave, emphasizing, “It’s time to go.” In the other video, she discussed their evacuation plans and expressed concern for their neighbor, Betty.

Nathalie’s announcement has received significant support from followers and Iron Maiden fans. Comments included messages of sympathy and encouragement from around the world, such as a hug from Chile and love from Ukraine. As of now, Adrian Smith and Iron Maiden have not addressed the loss on their social media platforms.
