The Jonas Brothers are returning to their roots to celebrate their 20th anniversary with a special event at the American Dream mall in East Rutherford, N.J., on March 23. The sibling trio announced on Friday, Feb. 14, that they will host a one-day event called JONASCON, a nod to their early mall performances.
The event will feature live performances, DJ sets, Q&A panels, fan activations, pop-up surprises, retail takeovers, and more. “From their early beginnings to global pop icons, JONASCON will honor the band’s incredible journey while also showing their appreciation to the fans who have been with them from the beginning,” the statement read.
Fans can register for free tickets to JONASCON, which promises unique experiences at one of the world’s largest indoor retail and entertainment centers. American Dream, the three million square foot complex, includes an NHL-sized ice rink, a Nickelodeon-themed indoor theme park, a water park, indoor ski slope, mini golf courses, aquarium, mirror maze, and trampoline park.
Registered attendees will also gain first access to additional Jonas Brothers-themed events during the weekend of March 22-23 in New York City and at American Dream.
At press time, the group had not disclosed the capacity for JONASCON.
The announcement follows a post from the Jonas Brothers earlier this week that caused concern among fans, fearing a possible split. The siblings had reflected on their 20-year journey, recalling their early days performing at local venues. However, the post was primarily nostalgic, emphasizing the importance of their fans and hinting at a “year of music,” including new releases, a live album, soundtrack, and solo projects.
