Kendrick Lamar and Marvel have previously collaborated, notably with Lamar curating the “Black Panther” soundtrack in 2018. They are set to reunite for “Captain America: Brave New World,” which premieres in U.S. theaters on Friday, Feb. 14.
Anthony Mackie, who stars as Falcon in the “Captain America” series, revealed Lamar’s involvement with the film’s title track during an interview with Entertainment Tonight earlier this week.
“Kendrick did the title song for my movie—I hope that’s not supposed to be a surprise,” Mackie said. “I’m breaking it here first, I’m so excited, man. The beauty and mastery of his craft.”
The title of the track is currently unknown, but it is expected to align with the film’s name, “Brave New World.” Fans may hear the song with the movie’s release later this week.
Lamar previously led “Black Panther: The Album,” which featured hits like “All the Stars,” “King’s Dead,” and “Pray for Me.” The album topped the Billboard 200 chart in 2018.
Lamar’s contribution to “Captain America” comes amid a successful 2025. In the last two weeks, the Compton rapper has won five Grammy Awards and headlined the Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show in New Orleans.
Following a brief break, Lamar will embark on the Grand National Tour with SZA, starting in April across North American arenas.
