Lainey Wilson Shines as Co-Host and Winner at the 2024 CMA Awards with Devlin Hodges by Her Side

Lainey Wilson made a stylish entrance with her boyfriend, Devlin “Duck” Hodges, at the 2024 CMA Awards. The couple turned heads on the red carpet, where Wilson took on the role of co-host for the first time, sharing duties with Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning.

As they arrived for the event, Wilson and Hodges showcased their affection by donning matching black outfits accented with silver details, complete with coordinating black hats. This marked a significant moment for the couple, who previously made their first appearance on a red carpet at the 2023 ACM Awards. Prior to this, Wilson had hinted at their relationship by wearing a Pittsburgh Steelers jersey linked to Hodges’ time as a quarterback for the team.

Hodges consistently shows his support for Wilson, attending her concerts and award ceremonies to cheer her on as she pursues her dreams. Wilson, fresh from a series of performances in Monroe, LA, approached the night as a co-host and a nominee in four categories.

During the awards ceremony, Wilson continued her winning streak by securing her third consecutive Female Vocalist of the Year award. She also won the Music Video of the Year award for “Wildflowers and Wild Horses,” directed by Patrick Tracy.

In addition to her co-hosting role, Wilson performed her latest hit, “4x4xU.” Her performance included elements from her Country’s Cool Again Tour, featuring a segment from the tailgate of a pickup truck. She then moved to the front of the stage, where a beautifully lit nighttime skyline and a bonfire created a captivating backdrop.

Wilson’s collaboration with Peyton and Luke marked a dream come true. She expressed excitement about hosting the CMA Awards, describing it as an incredible honor and a long-held dream. The event, dubbed “Country Music’s Biggest Night,” was broadcast live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena and is now available to stream on Hulu.
