In an unexpected twist of fate, Larry the Clown—famous for his big shoes, even bigger hair, and a honking horn that could wake the dead—has traded in his circus life for a job in corporate America. Larry is now a financial analyst at a firm downtown, which begs the question: Who the hell let him in?
“I’ve always had a gift for juggling,” Larry said, adjusting his nose. “But now I’m juggling spreadsheets, and let me tell you—nothing’s more satisfying than popping the bubble on a 401k plan.”
When asked about his first day on the job, Larry gave a nod to his new colleagues. “I’ve already made a big impression. I tossed a pie in the boss’s face during the quarterly meeting. It was a hit. Literally.”
His coworkers are mixed on the transition. “It’s nice to have someone break up the monotony of Excel sheets with some balloon animals, but I’m just waiting for him to come to the next meeting dressed as a hot dog again,” said one colleague. “I’m convinced he’s secretly the office prankster who’s been masquerading as ‘professional Larry’ all along.”
But it’s not all sunshine and confetti. Larry admitted that some office norms are throwing him off. “They told me no squirting flower pens at clients. And no more whoopee cushions in the breakroom. It’s like they don’t even know what fun is.”
At least Larry’s still making the best of it—and, of course, staying true to his roots. “I’ll admit, the ‘clowning around’ part was easy. The ‘working’ part? Not so much.”
Will Larry thrive in the corporate world, or will he be fired for turning PowerPoint presentations into circus performances? Only time will tell, but you can bet we’ll be watching.
