MGM Resorts Ends In-Person Concierge Services at Most Las Vegas Properties

MGM Resorts International is closing in-person concierge services at most of its Las Vegas Strip properties, including MGM Grand, The Signature, New York-New York, Mandalay Bay, Park MGM, and Vdara. This change is effective starting Monday. However, concierge services will continue at ARIA Resort & Casino, Bellagio Hotel & Casino, and The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, with calls being directed to Aria and Bellagio.

The decision affects 34 employees, who are being offered other positions within the company or transition support. MGM Resorts cites a shift in guest preferences towards digital self-service options as the reason for the closures, rather than budget cuts or economic concerns. This follows a similar move in March when MGM reduced valet and bell services at Excalibur. The company states these changes are part of adapting to industry trends, aiming to enhance guest experience.
