Michael Ray Returns with New Music and Renewed Spirit After Social Media Hiatus

Michael Ray has been notably absent from social media in recent months, not sharing updates about new music, tours, or other typical content. This week, however, the country artist reemerged with a significant life update, explaining his recent absence and hinting at exciting future projects.

In his first Instagram post since December, Ray shared an image featuring the motivational words, “Reset, Readjust, Restart and Refocus,” with “Just Start” highlighted in red. He expressed gratitude to his fans for allowing him the time to reconnect with himself, step back from his hectic lifestyle, and enjoy a slower pace.

Ray explained, “I’ve spent the last few months mostly offline, engaging in activities like hunting and fishing, to re-center myself spiritually and mentally. Sometimes, life’s demands can make you lose touch with who you are or why you began your journey. People often say taking a break means being forgotten, but if you don’t care for yourself, you’re not much use to others. I appreciate the support and want you to know I’m back, better than ever, with a stronger connection to God and a clear mind.”

This break has not only strengthened his faith but also revitalized his creativity. Ray hinted at new music and tour plans, referring to this new phase as Michael Ray 2.0. “I’m eager to share what’s coming and feel more creative than ever. I can’t wait to release new music and hit the road.”

Ray concluded by thanking his family, friends, and fans, including his girlfriend Audrina Patridge, for their unwavering support. “To my family and friends, you inspire me, and I’m grateful for each of you. Audrina, you’re my rock. To my fans, I’ve missed you and love you. Thanks for allowing my music to be part of your life. We’ve shared amazing moments, and there’s more excitement ahead. God bless you all.”

Ray’s passion for music began early, learning guitar from his grandfather at nine. Realizing his desire to pursue music full-time, he traveled between Florida and Nashville to gain industry experience. In 2014, he signed with Warner Music Nashville, releasing his debut album the next year. He has since achieved four No. 1 hits and five RIAA certifications, with notable songs like the Platinum-certified “Think A Little Less.”

While Ray’s future career path is unclear, there may be changes with Warner Music Nashville, as he is no longer listed on their artist roster, though no official departure has been confirmed.

Ray’s first new music in this chapter appeared on February 21 with his feature on Colt Ford’s “Hell Out Of It.” This uplifting song, written by Cole Taylor, Michael Tyler, Thomas Archer, and Lalo Guzman, marks Ford’s first release since his 2024 heart attack.

Both artists begin 2025 with renewed energy, aiming to reflect this through new releases, live performances, and collaborations. “Hell Out Of It” delivers a message of gratitude, encouraging listeners to appreciate every day. Ford expressed, “This song resonated with me instantly, and Michael Ray was the perfect collaborator.” Ray added, “I’m thrilled to be part of this song with Colt Ford. ‘Hell Out Of It’ is an anthem for the hard-working, fun-loving people from small towns.”

Currently, Ray has one scheduled performance on June 26 at the Hoofbeat Country Festival in Cadott, WI, with further announcements expected soon.
