A stellar lineup of artists, including Michael Stipe, Kim Gordon, and Karen O, will gather to celebrate Patti Smith’s legendary career in a tribute concert at Carnegie Hall in New York City, scheduled for March 2025.
The Music of Patti Smith marks the 20th installment of City Winery founder Michael Dorf’s renowned “Music Of” benefit series.
The concert will feature performances by notable musicians such as Matt Berninger of The National, Courtney Barnett, Sharon Van Etten, Alison Mosshart of The Kills, Kronos Quartet, Ben Harper, and Angel Olsen.
A dynamic house band led by Tony Shanahan, a longtime collaborator of Smith, will anchor the evening. Shanahan will be joined by Flea, Steve Jordan, and other surprise guests to honor Smith’s profound influence on music and culture.
All proceeds from the event will support music education programs for underserved youth, ensuring a meaningful impact beyond the celebration.
VIP packages are available at musicof.org, while general tickets can be purchased through Carnegie Hall’s website at carnegiehall.org.
As a special bonus, the first 150 VIP ticket buyers will receive a signed copy of Lynn Goldsmith’s new photography book, Patti Smith: Before Easter After.
Mark your calendars for what promises to be an unforgettable evening honoring the iconic Patti Smith.
