New 400-Home Resort-Style Community in Summerlin West

Taylor Morrison is set to develop nearly 400 homes on 88 acres in Summerlin West, introducing a new community called Esplanade at Summerlin. Construction is slated to begin in the first quarter of next year, with home sales expected to start in the second quarter of 2026. The community will offer resort-style living, featuring a 10,000-square-foot clubhouse that includes a restaurant, spa, golf simulator, fitness center, pool, pickleball courts, and walking trails. Homes will vary in size from 1,500 to 3,200 square feet.

In September, a land banker purchased the 88 acres for Taylor Morrison for $107 million, with the seller being Howard Hughes, the developer behind the master-planned community of Summerlin. Kent Lay, the Las Vegas division president at Taylor Morrison, mentioned that the homes will exhibit a Palm Springs modern aesthetic.

The development comes as Summerlin has been recognized as one of the top 10 best-selling master-planned communities in the United States, ranking fifth according to a report by RCLCO, a national real estate consultant. Last year, Summerlin recorded 1,055 home sales.

My husband is 75 I’m 68, & our 2 adult 50 year old kis & their 2 adult kids are looking for our forever home. We were SCAMMED out of our home of 19 years, in 2007 in Cali. And we have a disabled grandchild that requires 24/7 care that only we can afford to care for. At least 2 master bedrooms & 2-/&1/2 baths needed, NO STAIRS. Willing to buy a model as is if qualified.
