Rick Harrison and Austin “Chumlee” Russell have ventured into the podcast world with “Pawn After Dark,” a new series featuring a variety of guests from different backgrounds. The podcast, which is set at the Gold and Silver Pawn shop after hours, offers a more relaxed and candid atmosphere compared to their TV show “Pawn Stars.” With episodes available on YouTube, Spotify, and Apple Podcasts, the series kicked off with BMX star and “The Challenge” host T.J. Lavin as its premiere guest. Future episodes will feature personalities like Lou Ferrigno and Chuck Liddell.
The podcast is driven by Tracy Whittaker, CEO of Rick Harrison Productions and a long-time executive producer of “Pawn Stars.” Unlike the TV show, “Pawn After Dark” allows for more mature conversations, aiming for a PG-13 tone. The focus remains on lighthearted discussions about unique items, avoiding political topics to keep the atmosphere fun and engaging.
Corey Harrison, another key figure from “Pawn Stars,” is currently living in Tulum, Mexico, and is not involved with the podcast. However, there is potential for him to appear as a guest in the future. The podcast aims to provide an entertaining escape, similar to the “Pawn Stars” format, while allowing for a bit more freedom in conversation.
