Rapper 6ix9ine Faces Jail Time Again by violating probation while testing positive for meth

Rapper 6ix9ine has been sent back to jail after admitting to violating the terms of his probation. Judge Paul Engelmayer expressed his disappointment, stating, “Your breach of the court’s trust is profound. Five violations say to me that you believe the rules don’t apply to you. Maybe you believe that because you’re a famous rapper.” In response, 6ix9ine asked for leniency by acknowledging his mistakes but insisting, “I’m not a bad person.” Judge Engelmayer also cautioned 6ix9ine that stricter penalties might be imposed if he appeared in court again: “If you are brought back before me, I may sentence you to more.”

The multiple violations include testing positive for meth, travelling to Las Vegas without permission and twice failing to comply with drug testing requests.Initially, 6ix9ine defended his trip to Las Vegas through his lawyer, who argued that the visit was for a performance and that he believed he had informed the necessary authorities. However, he eventually pleaded guilty to the offense.

The probation violations are connected to a 2019 sentence where 6ix9ine pleaded guilty to racketeering, firearms offenses, and drug trafficking. He was sentenced to two years in prison followed by five years of supervised release. Originally facing up to 47 years in prison, his cooperation with authorities significantly reduced his sentence and led to the prosecution of members of the Nine Trey Gangsters.

Since his release, 6ix9ine has encountered further legal issues, including recent accusations of sexual abuse by ex-girlfriend Yailin La Más Viral. In a lawsuit, she accused him of physical, sexual, mental, and financial abuse, as well as posting explicit photos and videos of her online. She alleged that 6ix9ine manipulated and coerced her into plastic surgery, stole money from her, controlled her, and kept her in a drugged state throughout their relationship. He has strongly denied these allegations.
