Released on September 30, 2008, *Something Else* debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 and spent 28 weeks on the chart. The album featured singles like “Magic” and “The Sweetest Love,” both of which reached the No. 2 position on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart.
This Gold certification is Robin Thicke’s first RIAA award since his 2013 hit “Blurred Lines,” which was certified Diamond in 2018 for selling over 10 million units.
*Something Else* holds a special place in Thicke’s discography, marking a period of personal and artistic growth.
