ROSÉ and Bruno Mars’ “APT.” Achieves Historic Milestone on Billboard’s Pop Airplay Chart

ROSÉ and Bruno Mars’ collaborative track “APT.” has climbed to No. 4 on the Jan. 25-dated Billboard Pop Airplay chart, making it the highest-charting song by a K-pop act on the ranking. This achievement surpasses BTS’ “Dynamite,” which peaked at No. 5 in December 2020 and remains the only top-five entry by a K-pop group.

“APT.” marks ROSÉ’s first solo entry on the Pop Airplay chart. As a member of BLACKPINK, she has previously charted two tracks on the list, with the group’s best performance peaking at No. 21.

The Pop Airplay chart is based on weekly plays across over 150 mainstream Top 40 radio stations, with data collected by Mediabase and provided to Billboard by Luminate.

Only five K-pop tracks have reached the Pop Airplay top 10, two of which are solo artist features. Here’s a recap:

  • No. 4 – “APT.,” ROSÉ & Bruno Mars (Jan. 25, 2025)
  • No. 5 – “Dynamite,” BTS (Dec. 19, 2020)
  • No. 7 – “Cupid,” Fifty Fifty (Aug. 5, 2023)
  • No. 7 – “Butter,” BTS (Aug. 7, 2021)
  • No. 10 – “Gangnam Style,” PSY (Oct. 27, 2012)

San Francisco’s KMVQ (99.7 Now) leads all reporting stations with over 1,400 plays of “APT.” since its Oct. 18 release. Other major supporters include WHTZ (Z100) New York, KIIS (102.7 KIIS-FM) Los Angeles, and SiriusXM’s Hits 1 and TikTok Radio.

ROSÉ’s latest single, “Toxic Till the End,” debuts at No. 40 on the Pop Airplay chart, thanks to a 50% increase in plays week-over-week. “APT.” also saw a 17% gain during the same period.

“APT.” is part of ROSÉ’s solo album rosie, which also features “Toxic Till the End.” The song has dominated the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S. charts for 11 consecutive weeks each. On the Billboard Hot 100, “APT.” holds steady at No. 5, solidifying ROSÉ’s status as the first female K-pop artist to reach the chart’s top five.
