Sabrina Carpenter is extending her Short n’ Sweet era with a deluxe edition of her breakthrough album, and she’s bringing along one of her musical heroes.
Two days after winning her first-ever Grammys, the pop star announced Tuesday that the expanded album will feature a remix of Please Please Please with none other than Dolly Parton.
Carpenter shared the news on Instagram, posting the deluxe album’s cover art and tracklist. “As a thank you for giving this album two Grammys :’),” she wrote.
“Short n’ Sweet Deluxe is now available for pre-order,” she continued. “And yes, that does say featuring Miss Dolly Parton…. 💋💋💋 She wouldn’t want me to swear, but holy s–t!!!!!”
In addition to Please Please Please (feat. Dolly Parton), the deluxe album will include new songs 15 Minutes, Couldn’t Make It Any Harder, Busy Woman and Bad Reviews. The original Short n’ Sweet debuted in August and spent two weeks atop the Billboard 200, marking Carpenter’s first No. 1 album.
Three singles from the album charted on the Billboard Hot 100, including Espresso and Taste. However, Please Please Please became Carpenter’s first No. 1 hit. The song earned a Grammy nomination for song of the year at the 2025 awards on Sunday, though Kendrick Lamar’s Not Like Us took the honor. Carpenter did win best pop solo performance for Espresso and best pop vocal album for Short n’ Sweet.
The Feather singer has long cited Parton as an influence. In 2024, Carpenter named Parton among her most-streamed artists on Spotify, alongside ABBA, Kacey Musgraves, the Bee Gees and herself. The country influence is evident in Short n’ Sweet, particularly on Please Please Please and Slim Pickins’, drawing comparisons to the 9 to 5 legend—making their collaboration especially fitting.
