Fans will have to wait a few more weeks to hear the songs from Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco’s upcoming album, “I Said I Love You First,” but as of Tuesday, March 4, they can at least see the tracklist.
Gomez, known for her role in “Only Murders in the Building,” unveiled the 14-song tracklist casually. She shared a photo of her hand holding a piece of paper with the titles displayed in a Polaroid frame, writing, “Leaking some more details…”
“Benny and I are so excited to reveal the official tracklist for our album,” she added.
Set for release on March 21, “I Said I Love You First” includes previously released singles “Scared of Loving You” and “Call Me When You Break Up,” featuring Gracie Abrams. The remaining tracks, as revealed by Gomez, are titled “I Said I Love You First,” “Younger and Hotter Than Me,” “Ojos Tristes,” “Don’t Wanna Cry,” “Sunset Blvd,” “Cowboy,” “Bluest Flame,” “How Does It Feel to Be Forgotten,” “Do You Wanna Be Perfect,” “You Said You Were Sorry,” “I Can’t Get Enough,” and “Don’t Take It Personally.”
The tracklist reveal follows Gomez’s recent Instagram video teasing another song from the album. In the video, she sits in her car listening to a dance track that seemingly samples Cake’s 1998 hit “Never There,” mouthing along to the lyrics, “I’ma call you daddy, ’cause I know you like that/ Go recharge your batteries, come back to me and make your momma proud.”
Gomez and Blanco announced their engagement in December and revealed the album on Valentine’s Day. In an interview with Apple Music 1’s Zane Lowe, Gomez described the project as “a little taste of what we are and how we made this together, and how much we loved it and how much we love each other.”
She added, “It just felt like it was meant to be.”
