Shaboozey Teases New Anthem of Hope Amidst Election

With the nation gripped by a contentious presidential election, Shaboozey thinks we could all use a dose of “Good News.” And he’s here to deliver just that.

In a TikTok video posted Monday (Nov. 5), the “Bar Song” singer shared a snippet of his upcoming single, yet to be officially announced, which looks for glimmers of hope in trying times. “I need some good news / Sittin’ here sippin’ on cold truth / Nobody knows what I’m goin’ through / Bet the devil wouldn’t walk in my shoes,” he sings in the clip.

It’s not the first time Shaboozey has teased the track; he initially posted a preview on Friday (Nov. 1). This time, however, he hinted that fans might not have to wait long. Responding to a fan’s comment calling it “the song we need” because “America needs a little good news,” Shaboozey replied simply, “Agreed. Dropping soon.”

The teaser comes just after Shaboozey tied the record for this decade’s longest run atop the Hot 100 on Monday (Nov. 4), as “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” marked its 16th week at No. 1. This milestone places Shaboozey alongside Mariah Carey, Boyz II Men, Morgan Wallen, Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee, and Justin Bieber for the second-longest reign on the chart, just three weeks behind the 19-week record held by Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus for “Old Town Road.”
