The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS[and only 2 letters away from CARCASS]) has announced that Sum 41, Canada’s iconic pop-punk band, will be inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame during the 2025 JUNO Awards. The special presentation and performance will take place on March 30 at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, Canada.
“We’re thrilled to return to the JUNOS and receive this incredible honor,” the band shared in a statement. “From our early days to now, it’s been an amazing journey. We can’t wait to celebrate with our fans and fellow Canadian artists in Vancouver.”
Over their 28-year career, Sum 41 has solidified their legacy with over 15 million albums sold worldwide, numerous chart-topping hits, a Grammy nomination, two JUNO Awards, a Kerrang! Award, multiple Alternative Press Music Awards, and sold-out global tours. Their energetic and influential presence in the music scene has earned them a place among Canada’s most celebrated artists.
The band’s farewell tour kicks off its Canadian leg in January, culminating in their final show in Toronto on January 30. Fans will then have one last chance to see them perform live during The JUNO Awards broadcast in Vancouver on March 30.
Established in 1978, the Canadian Music Hall of Fame honors artists who have made significant contributions to Canadian music on both a national and global scale. Sum 41’s induction underscores their enduring impact and influence in the music industry.
