Summer Walker and 21 Savage Dominate Charts with “Prove It”

Summer Walker has reached a new career high with her first No. 1 on Billboard’s Rhythmic Airplay chart, lending her voice to 21 Savage’s hit “Prove It.” The track, which samples Faith Evans’ soulful “You Are My Joy (Interlude),” quickly captured fans’ attention with nostalgia and fresh energy. For 21 Savage, this is another milestone—his third No. 1 on the Rhythmic Airplay chart this year, following April’s “Redrum,” and his eighth chart-topper overall.

Walker’s journey to the top has been noteworthy. Recently, her collaboration with Usher and 21 Savage on “Good Good” nearly hit No. 1, peaking at No. 2 and topping Mediabase’s Rhythmic radio chart. Her 2019 duet with Usher, “Come Thru,” also left its mark, reaching No. 8 on the Rhythmic Airplay chart.

“Prove It” is making waves on multiple Billboard charts, holding the No. 3 spot on Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay, No. 4 on both R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay and Rap Airplay, and breaking into the Hot 100 at No. 47.

The track is from 21 Savage’s latest project, American Dream, released in February 2024. The album has dominated the Billboard 200, debuting at No. 1 with 133,000 units sold in its first week and staying on top for two weeks.

Walker’s momentum continues with her new single, “Heart of a Woman,” channeling influences from R&B icon Brandy. Produced by Tavaras Jordan, the song is the lead single from her upcoming third album, Finally Over It, the concluding chapter of her trilogy that began with Over It in 2018.

With 21 Savage’s unbreakable streak and Walker’s fresh releases, both are reshaping today’s music scene.
