On November 27, TNT’s Tony Harnell announced on his social media that he had undergone successful surgery for advanced prostate cancer on August 1 of this year.
Tony posted the following:
“This Thanksgiving I am even more grateful. On August 1st I underwent successful laparoscopic surgery for advanced prostate cancer. Five days later I was rushed to the hospital with sepsis and spent three days in hospital before being stabilized. What an experience! I don’t know how close I am to the end of the road, but I am eternally grateful to all those who responded so quickly to save my life that day. I am feeling better each day. This will be a long recovery.
I couldn’t have gotten through this without my close friends, my incredible doctors and my beloved Christy. This has forced me to cancel my August shows and take the rest of 2024 off to rest my body, mind and soul. The price has been high and I am still rebuilding.
Thank you to all those who reached out and cared. This Thanksgiving is truly a day of giving thanks!” Wishing you all a Thanksgiving filled with love, peace and brightness. See you on tour in 2025!
P.S.: Everyone, don’t forget to get your PSA test every year!”
We all wish Tony the best!
