Tragic Casino Shooting Claims Life of Former Senators Son in North Las Vegas

Na’Onche Osborne, the son of former North Las Vegas state senator and mayoral candidate Pat Spearman, was tragically killed in a shooting at a North Las Vegas casino. Osborne, 23, died from multiple gunshot wounds, as confirmed by the Clark County coroner’s office. The incident occurred at Aliante around 4:30 a.m. on Thursday.

The suspect, Aerion Warmsley, 19, faces charges of open murder with a deadly weapon and robbery with a deadly weapon. Warmsley is also accused of carjacking multiple vehicles and causing crashes during a high-speed police chase that resulted in injuries, including one critically injured person at a bus stop.

Pat Spearman, who served as a Democratic state senator from 2013 to 2025 and ran for mayor in 2022, did not comment immediately following the incident. The family, represented by attorney Ozzie Fumo, expressed their heartbreak and requested privacy to mourn.

Osborne had been involved in a previous legal issue in October 2022 when he was arrested for shooting his cousin after an argument. This incident occurred at Spearman’s home, and Osborne had faced charges of attempted murder and battery, among others. The victim in that case survived the shooting.

Despite the recent tragedy, the annual State of the City address at Aliante went on as scheduled, with no public mention of the homicide by the current mayor, Pamela Goynes-Brown.
