Tupac Shakur Murder Trial for Keffe D Delayed to 2026 Amid Defenses New Investigation Claims

The trial for Duane “Keffe D” Davis, accused of orchestrating the murder of Tupac Shakur, has been postponed to February 9, 2026, after a request by his attorney, Carl Arnold. Arnold argued that further investigation is needed and claimed that evidence will show Davis was not in Las Vegas at the time of the shooting. The trial was originally scheduled to start in March. A status hearing is set for June 17. Authorities have linked the 1996 drive-by shooting to a gang feud involving the South Side Crips and the Bloods-associated Mob Piru gang, allegedly in retaliation for an earlier altercation at the MGM Grand. The South Side Crips were reportedly connected to Bay Boy Records, owned by Sean “Diddy” Combs, while the Mob Piru gang had ties to Death Row Records.
