Wendy Williams Is ‘Permanently Incapacitated’ Amid Dementia Battle, Guardian Reveals

Wendy Williams’ health has reportedly worsened due to her battle with dementia and aphasia. According to court documents, Williams has become cognitively impaired and permanently incapacitated, as stated by the attorneys for her guardian, Sabrina Morrissey. Morrissey is pursuing legal action against A&E Television Networks, Lifetime Entertainment Services, and others involved in the release of the docuseries “Where is Wendy Williams?” which focuses on Williams’ sudden withdrawal from public life. The legal complaint accuses the defendants of exploiting Williams for financial gain. Morrissey’s attorneys have also requested the removal of Williams’ personal information from a joint status letter, which relates to a guardianship proceeding initiated by Wells Fargo in January 2022 to protect Williams’ finances. This proceeding’s filing was later sealed. Williams was diagnosed with primary progressive aphasia and frontotemporal dementia in 2023, but her representatives have stated she remains capable of managing many aspects of her life, including selecting her care team.
